Unionlearn goes into the summer following another busy and well-attended annual conference at which delegates from across the union movement and the wider skills world gathered at Congress House to discuss key issues on learning and training for the year ahead.

The conference came on the back of an important report from the Organisation for Co-operation and Economic Development on skills that had highlighted the role union learning plays in delivering skills to the workforce - important recognition that came as good news to the attendees.

The event was also a time for bidding a fond farewell to Brendan Barber, as he attended his final unionlearn conference as TUC general secretary...
